This part of the story is dedicated to the memory of A.C.
The guards had just come on duty, relieving the two guards on duty at the heavenly gate. After
the previous guards had started walking back to the guard house, the 2 friends had split up,
each heading off in a different direction along the perimeter. Above them, the guards in the
tower had scanned the perimeter, looking for any threats. All along the perimeter, guards on
the ground and in the towers were walking back and forth, looking but not expecting anything
to happen.
In Anabelle's office, she and Lance had spent the morning talking about Belladonna. Lance had
felt that it was possible and likely that there was some connection between here and
Angelflight. Anabelle did agree with him to a point. She argued with him about why they'd give
us accurate information if they weren't trying to help us.
Back at the guard tower on the northeast side.....
The guards had just finished their scan of the area and hadn't seen the approaching forces. They
had stopped looking at the horizon and the ground to move another piece on the chess game they'd
been playing. They'd move a piece, scan the ground and the horizon for threats, and move another
piece. As they reached for the chessboard, a shot from a RPG(Rocket-Propelled Grenade) landed
about half-way up the tower, blowing a hole through the tower and knocking it over on it's side.
The guards on foot ran over to the tower, trying to help the guards inside, while 3 of the guards
climbed on the wall and scanned for the source of the shot.
"Alert, Alert, intruders in sector 2, shots fired. Request backup." The guard yelled over the
radio, opening fire on the intruders.
"Understood shots fired sector 2. Backup en-route." The radio operator said, hitting the
alarm button on her control panel.
Anabelle and Lance had ran to the window and looked out as the announcement came over the speaker
"Alert intruders approaching outer perimeter. Perimeter defenses engaged. Re-inforcements
requested. Teams 1-6 report to outer perimeter immediately!"
"Let's go." Lance said, running to the door.
"Right behind ya," Anabelle said, reaching under her desk and grabbing her gun.
"ATTACK!" A guard in the tower west of them yelled as they opened fire with their dual-448
anti-personell guns.
Shortly after they'd started firing, another RPG shot took out that tower. More guards ran over
to help those in the tower, while the other towers had evacuated, figuring they'd be next.
The troops who had climed on the wall opened fire with their M41-A pulse rifles with over and
under 30mm grenade launchers.
The reinforcements had finally arrived from the guard tower, they climed onto the walls and
opened fire on the intruders, who proceeded to systematically destroy sections of walls with
gun fire and RPG shots. Once a hole in the wall was opened, enemy troops proceeded through it
like a flood of evil.
"We need more REINFORCEMENTS HERE!" The guard yelled into the radio, ducking as an RPG shot
whistled past him.
"We're sending everything we've got out there now." A comm officer said
Eventually, the defenders had ran out of ammo, so they dropped their primary weapons and grapped
their secondary weapons. The defenders ran up to the enemy troops and attacked them in hand-hand
combat.
"Where are our bloody re-inforcements?" One guard asked as he dodged several bullets
"They said they were on their way!" Another guard said as he side-stepped an attacker.
They looked back toward the building and stopped in shock.
Reinforcements had indeed arrived.
Belladonna's Reinforcements.
When the guards got over the initial shock of seeing enemy troops entering the inner perimeter
and the Council of Guardians meeting Hall areas, they turned around to find they were surronded
with guns pointed at their heads.
"FREEZE! Move, and we'll drop you where you stand." An intruder said
"You foolish person! You CAN'T kill an Angel!" The guard said, smirking
"KILL YOU! Oh no, no, no our boss has something far more interesting planned for you angel scum."
"Perimeter defense line, report, please." The radio screached.
The attackers took his radio, and ordered him to come with them.
"Anabelle, we've lost contact with the outer perimeter defense line. Inner perimeter won't last
long without our heavy defenses against that onslaught." Lance said, looking at the tactical
display.
"What can we do?" Anabelle asks
"Anabelle, I know you don't want to, but surrendering may be the only way we can guarentee that
we'll live to see tomorrow." Lance says
"We CAN NOT SURRENDER! Heaven is our home. If we surrender it, then where will the dogs go that
die?" Anabelle asks
"Anabelle, I think we all know that answer. If they can't come here, then they'll go to ..."
Lance started
"DON'T FINISH THAT!" Anabelle yelled
"Anabelle, Belladonna's already won. She's got more forces attacking then we have avaiable to
repel her attack. And without the outer perimeter's defenses, we don't stand much of a chance."
Lance says
"Ya know, this isn't necessarially a bad thing..." Anabelle says
"What do you mean?" A comm officer asks
"Oh I think I get it. Your referring to the prophecy, arent you?" Lance asks
"Yeah. This could work to our advantage, but we gotta stop her before she destroys heaven.
What do you guys think?" Anabelle asks
"What prophecy?" A Controller asks
"I'll explain later. First, we gotta stop Belladonna before she does anymore damage. Whaddya
ya'll think? Is surrendering a viable option?" Anabelle asks
"Anabelle, honestly, I'd rather die then surrender to that demon lady, but we don't really have
any choice." Lance says
"Ok, ok. Was hoping someone had a better solution. How long do we have before they can get in
here?" Anabelle asks
"About 5 minutes. Inner perimeter should be able to hold out that long." Lance said, looking
at the tactical display
"Ok. First thing the computer. I want it completely destroyed. Belladonna can't be allowed to
have access to all the information stored in there." Anabelle said
"Accessing core command prompt. Initiating systemwide format...." The computer controller said
Just then, the command center experienced a massive power loss.
"What in the world?" Anabelle said
"Power loss confirmed. Secondary power system has failed." The controller said
"It can't fail. Those circuits are hard-wired to the computer. Even if everything else loses
power, then it should still have power." Lance said. "I built them myself."
"Could someone have tampered with them?" Anabelle asked
"How? The only access point is down there."Lance said, pointing to a circuit panel. He walked
over to it and removed the cover.
"Ok, never mind. I'm gonna go get this over with, before anyone else loses their life in a futile
attempt to defend their home."Anabelle whispered, beginning to cry as she opened the door and
went into the hall.
"BELLADONNA!" Anabelle called, walking outside, as Lance and the other defeners watched her.
"Hold your fire." Belladonna said, walking toward her cousin.
"I'm here to discuss terms of our surrender."
"The terms are simple.
1) You and your "ANGELS" will not be harmed, so long as they throw down their weapons and come
quietly with us.
2) They will throw down their weapons immediately
3) They will NOT attempt to resist
4) All angels will leave the buildings and come out here
Any attempts at disobeying those terms will result in the destruction of heaven and all who abide
here.
Do you agree?" Belladonna asks
"We will not be harmed?"Anabelle asks
"Assuming you follow the terms, no, you will not be harmed for now." Belladonna says.
"Ok. We Surrender." Anabelle said, standing there, trying not to cry.

After a few minutes of waiting, Sannabelle finally heard the radio come to life again.
"Sannabelle, do you read me?" Flo says into the microphone.
"Flo, shut up and listen. You need to contact Alania immediately. I don't care how many protocols
it violates, but Heaven is about to be attacked. Belladonna's planning to attack and destroy
Heaven within 30 Hours from now. You gotta warn them." Sanna said
"Alright. Get back here as quickly as you can. I'll warn her as soon as I can. How's your
'guests'?" Flo asks
"Their pretty inqusitive. We did feed them, and told them you'd brief them on what's going on
when we got there." Sanna said.
"How long before you guys takeoff?" Flo asks
"Preparations are almost complete. Refueling is the last thing on the list." Sanna says.
"Ok. Looking forward to a full report when you get back." Flo says, signing off.

After Anabelle's troops had emerged from their positions, throwing their weapons down into a pile
and lining up behind Anabelle, flanking her on the left and right in a V pattern. Belladonna
watched Anabelle and her troops, barely able to contain her joy. Meanwhile, her troops began
searching through the buildings, trying to be sure that they got everyone before they pulled out.
"Belladonna, we've secured the command center." A raider reported.
"Find their computer core and bring it here." Belladonna ordered.
"Rodger. Attempting to extract core now."
"Excellent."
An explosion blew Belladonna's troops and Belladonna herself off of their feet.
"REPORT!"
"Ma'am, the command center blew up in our face. They appearently set a bomb to detonate in here
to try to destroy the computer core, but it failed." Carface said
"Bring it here, then go search Anabelle's office." Belladonna orders.
She turned to face her prisoners.
"Your little plan to destroy the computer core in your command center has FAILED! Now, who would
do something so futile and drastic?" Belladonna asks, pacing back and forth, looking at each
prisoner.
"I did." Lance said, stepping forward.
"Admirable. Foolish, stupid, but admirable. I'm gonna let you off easy this time, cause you had
the courage to admit what you did. Killer, bring him." Belladonna says, watching Killer drag
Lance away from the rest.
Meanwhile, Carface had emerged from the damaged Command center, carrying a stack of computer Hard
Disk Drives.
"What else can go wrong today?" Anabelle mutters to herself, wondering what will happen to Lance.

After their meal, Charie, Sasha, Itchy, Ninetalesuk, Sonic, Tails, Ashley, Angus, Greta, Sanna,
and Stryker were in the mess hall, waiting for news that the transports were ready to take-off.
"Hey, uh... Stryker was it? What's gonna happen to us, once we've been briefed on what exactly
you guys do? and why Anabelle hasn't ever said anything about you guys?" Charlie asks
"Most likely after our boss tells you that, we'll drop you off in S.F., then return." Stryker
said.
"How's your shoulder?" Greta asks
"It's ok. Gonna be sore for awhile." Stryker said.
"Tell us one thing. Why would you guys risk your lives for people you don't know?" Ashley asks
"Easy. We risked our lives because a friend of ours was in trouble, and we helped you because
you were in trouble and in the right place at the right time." Stryker said.
"Where's Shane?" Sasha asks
"Shane's in Medical. We're preparing to move him back on the transport to our base, where he'll
undergo examination."Sanna said.
"How is he?" Sasha asks.
"He'll be ok. It's just routine to examine people who've been in his situation." Sanna said.
"Stryker, sir. We're ready for takeoff." A marine reports

Belladonna turns from facing the ruins of what used to be the entrance into K-9 heaven, and faces
her troops.
"This has been a triumphant day, for our cause. In one stroke, we've eliminated the Angel threat,
and have taken our first step toward conquering Earth. Now move on to phase 2. You all are to
be congradulated. I never thought you'd make it this far." Belladonna said.
"Belladonna, you do realize that without having gotten Charlie and Itchy, our plans are still at
risk." Carface said.
"Yes, I know. But that's not my problem. It's yours. Find them and destroy them. I don't care
what you have to do, but kill them quickly. You'll only get one shot at this, make it count.
Phase 2 should help you in that aspect. Before you begin your hunt, wait till we initiate
Phase 2." Belladonna said.
Belladonna then turns from her troops to face her prisoners, noticing Anabelle had moved in
front of the line.
"As for you, all of you will be witness to the destruction of earth. More importantly, how
I'm gonna win."
"Our forces will stop you." Anabelle says
"Your forces? HA! Your forces couldn't even stop me from gaining control of your most important
posession, what makes you think they stand a chance now?"
"You'll see."
"If your refering to any forces you have on earth, this," She holds the hard disks in her paw
"will let us know who they are and WHERE they are. They aren't a threat. If on the other paw, you
were refering to this 'AngelFlight', don't worry, we'll deal with them soon enough." Belladonna
says.
Anabelle stares at the hard disks Belladonna's holding, her face turning pale white.

Flo turns from the radio, to talk to Eve.
"Eve, we don't know exactly what's going on up there, but establish contact with Alania ASAP.
Meanwhile, I'll go prepare a plan to extradite her if it's possible. We gotta get her out of
there before any attack goes down." Flo says.
"Scott, order marine units 2-5 to be on standby from this moment on. Order all personell to be
on alert status yellow until further notice. If Belladonna or her forces are spotted, to track
but DO NOT engage. Report any contact immediately." Eve orders, picking up her headset and
putting it back on.
"This is AF10412 calling AN614. Come in. I repeat this is AF10412 calling AN614." Eve transmits
after 5 minutes of nothing, she trys again.
"This is AF10412 calling AN614. If you are recieving and are unable to respond, follow procedure
#34."
after another 5 minutes of nothing, Rebecca looks at Eve with a blank look on her face.
"This is AF10412 calling AN614. Come in, for heaven's sake! COME IN! PLEASE! Heaven is about to
be ATTACKED! Warn them, then GET OUT OF THERE!" Eve yells into the radio.
"Yelling will accomplish nothing." a faint voice whispers over the radio.
"Alania! Are you alright? What's going on up there?" Eve asks, on the edge of her seat.
"Eve, you ask too many questions! Heaven's already been attacked, and
Anabelle has surrendered. All of heaven's occupants are lined up outside the command center,
Belladonna's got access to the information that was stored on their computer systems, and life
is basically going straight to h" Alania says
"Alania! What about you? How are you going to get out of there?" Eve asks
"Tell Stryker I love him. I'll find some way to sabotage Belladonna's plans in any way I can,
until I'm caught or killed." Alania says.
"YOU CAN'T DO THAT! Just stay there, we'll find some way of getting to you. Do you copy?" Eve
says, but hears nothing but static on that channel.
"Alania!" Eve shouts into the radio

Alaina Fox crouched there, hiding in the wreckage of the command center, buried under a lot of
debris, watching Belladonna's troops, wondering how she'll get out of this mess. She thinks of an
idea, and crawls out of the ruins, and stealthily moves back into the building.
She runs to her room, hoping that they have already searched this section of the building,
realising that they probably hadn't been here yet, cause her room is still in order. So she grabs
anything she has that refers to AngelFlight, grabs her cammo gear, her journal, her clothes, puts
on her bandanna, and grabs her weapons stash, throws it all in a duffel-bag, and heads to the
south end of the building. She had heard rumors of EEV(Emergency Escape Vehicles) located there,
and figured that searching for them would beat waiting to be caught here.
As she ran down the hall, she heard a shout from behind her
"Halt or I'll SHOOT!"
"Not today, bootlicker," Alaina says, whipping around the corner and dropping her duffel-bag.
As the guard ran across the corner, she trips the guard, grabs his weapon and clubs him across
the back of the head. She takes her bandanna off and ties it around his mouth, and opens her
duffel bag. She rips a t-shirt she had, and ties him up with it, and drags him into a closet
that was near there.
She runs back to her stuff and grabs it and runs down the hall, hoping for no further
interruptions.
When she reaches the south end of the building, she's horrified by what she sees. The EEV ships
have been severely damaged, the building surronding them had been destroyed, parts of it were on
fire. Obviously Belladonna's troops hit this place hard. She runs up to one of the damaged
vehicles, and climbs in, then climbs out. The cockpit had been blown off, so she moved on to the
next one. In that one, the engines had been severely damaged, so she moved on to the next one.
This one looks good, she thought.
She climbs in, realising that powering up the engines will alert Belladonna to her presence.
"Oh well, you only live once. Let's see, 30 seconds to power up, another 30 seconds to warm up
the engines, it'll take them 45-50 seconds to get here." She thought to herself.
"Beginning power-up." She mutters
30 seconds later
"Powering engines" She says as she leaves the ship.

Belladonna's troops heard a low pitch whine comming from a supposedly empty building.
"Over there, go check it out." Belladonna, pointing to the building with Alania in it, orders.

While her ship powered up, Alania barricaded the door, hoping to buy some time for her engines
to warm up. As she turns from her newly-erected barricade, she hears a loud THUD from the other
side. She waits a few seconds then the sound is repeated. She walks into the ship, grabs her
bag and pulls out her gun. She sits inside her ship, leaning against the door, waiting for either
her ship's computer to tell her she could launch, or the barricade to fail. Just as cracks appear
in her barricade, meaning it's gonna fail in a matter of seconds, her computer tells her she can
launch. She closes the door, drops her gun, and sits in the pilot seat. She hits the launch
button, her computer screen gives her 2 seconds to put her seat belt on, then she is slammed
into the back of the seat as the engines kick on, and she launches from the bay. As she flies
over Belladonna's head, Belladonna creates a green orb, and throws it at the ship. The orb hits
the ship, causing it's engines to go off-line, and it starts diving toward the earth.

Belladonna looks at the ship diving toward the earth, both happy and angry at the same time.
She turns toward her prisoners and with fire in her eyes asks a simple question:
"Anabelle, who was that?" Belladonna asks angrily.
"I don't know." Anabelle asks
"Who was that? Look around you and tell me who that was, or so help me, I'll pound this place
into rubble no bigger than an inch. I'll turn this place into dust. Then I'll go back on my word
and do some very bad things to all of you, and I'm gonna start with her." Belladonna points to
a female dog standing behind Anabelle, and to her right. That dog moves behind Anabelle who
says:
"If you want her, get through me." Anabelle says.
"Later. First, I'm gonna ask you one more time. WHO WAS THAT?!" Belladonna asks.
"I don't know. I'm not sure if anyone is missing, it looks like were all here." Anabelle says
"We shall see." Belladonna says.
